Position Overview:
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT projects, from inception to completion. This includes planning, organizing, and directing projects to ensure they are on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex IT projects and demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills. This role requires the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and ensure the successful execution of technical projects across various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management & Execution:
◦ Oversee and manage IT projects from planning through to completion, ensuring all project goals are achieved on time and within budget.
◦ Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and cost management.
◦ Monitor the progress of projects, identifying and addressing any issues or delays to keep the project on track.
◦ Manage communication with stakeholders, including providing regular updates on project status and milestones.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration:
◦ Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
◦ Collaborate with technical teams to ensure all project requirements and objectives are met.
◦ Provide guidance and support to team members and ensure the team stays motivated and focused on project goals.
• Risk & Issue Management:
◦ Identify potential risks, resource bottlenecks, or other issues that may affect the project's success.
◦ Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address and resolve any challenges that arise.
◦ Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and keep the project moving forward without compromising on quality.
• Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
◦ Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring open and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
◦ Prepare and deliver project reports and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
◦ Facilitate meetings and discussions to ensure alignment between teams and stakeholders on project objectives.
• Budget & Resource Management:
◦ Ensure that project resources are allocated efficiently and that the project stays within budget.
◦ Track and report on project spending, making adjustments as necessary to ensure financial control.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
• Education & Experience:
◦ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
◦ At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Project Management Skills:
◦ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
◦ Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
◦ Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications:
◦ CompTIA Security+ certification (required).
• Soft Skills & Work Environment:
◦ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
◦ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
◦ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
◦ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Requirements:
• Travel may be required based on project needs.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
