Consulting Services Group (CSG) is seeking a Special Project Graphic Designer to establish a new, in-house design capability for one of our government customers. Position requires someone who is creative and able to plan, develop, and execute design and production of unique graphic and physical products based on unique requirements from different teams. The ideal candidate will have a track record of developing successful graphic and physical design products, is a forward-thinker who is aware of current trends and has excellent verbal and written communication skills and has a background working in support of the Department of Defense (DoD).
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Create visual, graphics, video, and manufacture custom physical products for internal and external needs of DoD customers.
Create custom backgrounds, lower thirds, animate IMAG graphics and more based on internal and external customer requirements.
Develop and execute creative visuals, elements, and stories.
Create e-newsletters highlighting current customer programs for broad dissemination to external DoD organizations.
Communicate with various departments to understand their graphic needs for various projects.
Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts for improving creative design for supported DoD customers.
Manage inventory of DoD customers’ graphic materials and recommend new equipment, software, and display material needs.
Contribute to brainstorming meetings and development of new ideas.
Prepare digital and physical product pitch presentations in support of DoD customers.
Ability to conceptualize and deliver content including written, photo, video, and manufactured physical products that align with DoD customer requirements.
Assist with copywriting and editing a variety of content across multiple mediums.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active Top Secret security clearance/SCI eligibility with willingness to submit to and favorably pass a CI Polygraph examination.
Must have working experience supporting DoD customers.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in graphic design, creative design, marketing, communications, or other related work fields.
Advanced knowledge of and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites, Adobe Suite, Google Docs, Switcher Studio; streaming, video editing.
Ability to conceptualize and deliver content including written, photo, video, and manufactured physical products that align with DoD customer requirements.
Must be creative and have a track record to be able to plan, develop, and execute design and production of unique graphic and physical products
Must be a forward-thinker who is aware of current trends and has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, industrial design, creative design, or other relevant creative design field.
Desired Qualifications:
Prefer candidates to possess Adobe Certified Associate (ACA), Graphic Design Specialization, UI/UX Design Specialization, UX Design Professional Certificate, or other relevant Graphic Design certifications.
Job location: Onsite in the vicinity of Laurel, Maryland, remote telework is not available.
Travel:
Occasional short-term CONUS travel may be required
