Network/Systems Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Network/Systems Administrator to provide Maven Smart System (MSS) operations services and support. Services include network & system administration, development, and upkeep of operational and technical documentation, troubleshooting, and restoration of the MSS to support the overall Maritime Mission. MSS is a CENTCOM advocated AI-ready platform that enables maritime N2 - intelligence and N3- operational entities with a common operating picture (COP) for efficient situational awareness and collaboration, with the intent to combine the COP from all service components into a fused COP for an effective warfighting decision at a COCOM level. The MSS leverages AI enabled enterprise data layer to accelerate the Observe, Orient, Decide, Act (OODA) approach to warfighting decision-making process. MSS modular design allows the flexibility of seamless integration into NAVCENT MOC, modernizing MOC's current C2 capabilities with AI.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical support for system and network administration and maintenance, configuration management, and baseline enforcement for MSS COP management.
• Assist the customer with developing and sustaining NAVCENTs Maven Smart System's common operating procedures, standards associated with applications and provide the interface to Support that provides operational architecture, enabling worldwide connectivity with all levels of command.
• Maintain Information Assurance (IA) readiness by applying all patches/ Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) released from Program Office to MSS and MOC systems. Ensure all Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) have been met.
• Maintain a Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) for all STIGs, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan results, and IAVA deficiencies.
• Assist Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with Risk Management Framework (RMF) package creation.
• Provide mentorship and training support to military personnel responsible for Tier I/II system administration, including the application of relevant patches/IAVAs released by individual program offices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• U.S. Passport
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI access
• Security + CE or meet DOD-8570.01-M IAT II certification level

Required Experience:

• Mid-career (5-7 years of experience)
