Job Description: Provide advisory and administrative support services to the SAF/IARP Division Chief, Deputy Division Chief, Northeast Asia Branch Chief and the Taiwan Country Director.

**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic, facilitative and decision support services. Define and refine meeting agendas, assist with both large and small group briefings/discussions content, focus decision making, and debrief action items.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain databases for case development, case program status reports, letters of request (LOR)/letters of acceptance (LOA) for quarterly presentations.
  • Input, track and update existing databases using appropriate desktop software applications in support of the Taiwan Country Director.
  • Develop briefings, background papers and related documentation concerning SAF/IARP programs with Taiwan.
  • Assist with preparations for formal meetings.
  • Prepare official correspondence, staff summary sheets (SSS), briefings, status reports, and armaments cooperation agreements.
  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone and email interactions with TAF, USG, and US industry personnel to assist in formulating requests for technical information on potential programs.
  • Review, coordinate and prepare formal responses for the Taiwan Country Director.
  • Provide monthly status reports, FMS case status report and tracker.
  • Provide support to SAF/IA for FMS acquisition and program management.
  • Participate in senior level staff meetings.
  • Support Country Director at senior level conferences, meetings, program/logistics/financial management reviews in both US and Taiwan.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree with a desired emphasis in an International Affairs curriculum.
  • Current, active SECRET Security Clearance required.
  • A minimum of four years of experience performing DAF Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case development, programming, and implementation which includes experience with DoD acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidance. Taiwan or Asia-Pacific FMS experience highly desired; and F-16 experience in either operations, maintenance, logistics, or acquisition highly desired.
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with each the following:
    • Knowledge and general understanding of DAF roles and missions
    • Knowledge and general understanding of security cooperation, international affairs, security assistance, foreign military sales to include the processes, legislation, and players
    • DODI 1315.20, Military Department Foreign Area Officer Programs
    • CJCSI 3126.01, Language and Regional Expertise Planning
    • DAFPD 16-1, International Affairs
    • AFI 16-109, International Affairs Specialist Program; and DAF Global Partnership Strategy
    • U.S. Export Control laws, regulations, and procedures
    • DSCA Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM)
    • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and U.S. Government National Disclosure Policy (NDP)
    • Industry and their relationship to the FMS process
    • Demonstrated successful performance in FMS case development, programming, and implementation.
