Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.
About The Role
Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the NiagaraFiles (NiFi) project, focusing on agency Transfer and Decommission (T&D) efforts that impact the NiFi team. These T&D initiatives often introduce new dataflow requirements, which the SE team evaluates and engineers into final solutions. As part of this team, you will review Data Management Requests (DMRs) and collaborate on designing dataflow solutions that the Operations team implements.

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Ideal candidates will have experience with some of the following:
- Working with mission systems
- Executing Transfer & Decommission (T&D) efforts, migrating legacy systems to new platforms
- Handling mission data formats
- Reviewing, processing, and creating Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs)
- Utilizing Apache NiFi, with a strong preference for experience in building and managing dataflows
- Managing analytical needs and translating them into actionable requirements
- Designing system architecture diagrams that illustrate software and system functions
Qualifications
Must have:
- Seventeen (17) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
