Senior Network Engineer - SECRET CLEARED

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Senior Network Engineer to support a mission-critical program based in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position requires an active SECRET clearance and will be fully onsite at AJ.

Responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer:

• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs.
• Monitor and optimize network performance.
• Troubleshoot network issues using logs and tools.
• Plan for network capacity and bandwidth.
• Integrate network with cloud and IT systems.
• Stay updated on networking trends and best practices.
• Document network configurations and procedures.
• Mentor junior network engineers.

Qualifications of the Senior Network Engineer:

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering
• Extensive experience with Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Must possess one of the following certifications (CCNP, CCDE, CCIE)
• Must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule
• Must hold ACTIVE Secret clearance

Compensation for the Senior Network Engineer:

• Salary: $125,000-140,000/year *flexible based on experience*
