Legislative Research Analyst
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Description
- Support the full range of congressional activities functions to assist OUSD(I&S) CA.
- Conduct interaction with Congress to promote Congressional understanding and generate Congressional support for Defense Intelligence resources and legislative priorities, consistent with the Department's legislative priorities.
- Assist in developing and implementing standardized processes with regard to the Defense Intelligence community and congressional interaction.
- Responsible for coordinating the Defense intelligence legislative message to promote the articulation of a consistent message to Congress on Defense Intelligence priorities.
- Experience performing legislative analysis.
- Experience preparing clear and concise written summaries of lengthy documents under tight time constraints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with tracking and managing task coordination in a large, bureaucratic organization.
Degree: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Preferred Skills and Relevant Experience:
- Degree: Master's degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years' combined experience in the following areas.
- Experience on a congressional committee, preferably one of DoD's oversight committees.
- Identify detailed knowledge of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise and apply it extracting salient information relevant to the Department of Defense Intelligence Enterprise and its components from congressional bills and reports.
- Experience in an office or component of the Department of Defense or the Intelligence Community
