Day- To Day:
An employer is looking for a Software and Evaluation Engineer to sit at Joint Base Andrews, MD. This candidate will be responsible for testing and developing software and applications to meet the needs of end users as well as document as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance for those system and applications. They will need to be able to routinely to fix bugs or address client or consumer concerns which will include identifying and resolving software issues through rigorous testing and debugging processes. They will need to be able to write code using relevant programming languages to build software features and functionalities and then be able to test software for security vulnerabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance but can cage up to a Top Secret
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM II certification.
• Experience using coding languages like PowerShell, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript to create different functionalities within systems or applications
• Ability to run and read vulnerability scans like Nessus or ACAS and then preform necessary assessments for change management (SIA)
• Experience with security infrastructure design and implementation
• Experience implementing DISA STIGS onto systems or applications
• Technical writing skills to include SOP, Work Instructions, and preparing senior level briefs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information.
• Experience supporting AFNCR, DoD, DISA, or other programs at the Pentagon.
• Excellent project, technical and problem management skills.
• In depth knowledge Back-end engineer functionalities.
