Job Requirements
Sr. Counterterrorism/ Insurgency Analyst

Desired experiences :
- Systematically and deliberately review DOD datasets assesses as likely to contain identifying information for known or suspected terrorists.
- Identify, prioritize and record information from known DoD datasets related to known or suspected terrorists as specified by the Government.
- Crosscheck/ research known or suspected terrorists against other intelligence holdings to ensure completeness of information and to avoid duplicating data entries.
- Compile information into a nomination report format as specified by the government. Correctly format, classify, and address reports. Ensure information contained within reports is intelligible, cogent, comprehensive, and understandable, and that all reports use proper grammar and spelling.
- Meet terrorist identity nomination (TIN) production schedules.
- Provide guidance and instructions for less experienced team members assigned to Watchlisting, as appropriate.
- Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of IC organizations associated with CT operations, analysis, products and information systems.
- Proesses general information systems experience working with select DoD datasets and intelligence reporting activities; Demonstrates comprehensive missions knowledge in order to provide guidance related to National Terrorist Watchlisting Policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding for terrorist organizations, to include group names and geographic locations, leadership, activities and ideology.
Sr. Counterterrorism/ Insurgency Analyst
(Watchlisting Reviewers)
Desired experiences:
- Perform all source intelligence analysis DoD datasets to identify and nominate known or suspected terrorists into the National Terrorist Watch listing system. Develops DoD recommendations for the no-fly, selectee, or other National terrorist watch list as appropriate, to fulfill the DOD component of Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs) 6 and 11 reviews DoD datasets for Identifying information of Known or Suspected Terrorists; and identifies, prioritizes, and records information from DoD datasets as specified by the government. Produces analytic reports using DIA's Watchlisting Data Organizer (WATCHDOG) and/or other Internal DIA production tools. Prepares reports for dissemination by methods specified by the government.
- Provide final review of submitted TINs To ensure accuracy, validity, comprehensibility, completeness, and containment of proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and classification, in compliance with ODNI and DIA standards as well as national Watchlisting guidance.
- Submit reviewed TINs into TIDE while maintaining an average rejection rate from NCTC within performance objective metrics.
Sr. Counterterrorism/ Insurgency Analyst

Desired experiences:
- Perform all source intelligence analysts of DoD datasets to identify and nominate KSTs Into the National Terrorist Watch listing system. Develop DoD recommendations for the no-fly, selectee, or other national terrorists watch lists as appropriate, to fulfill the DoD component of Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs) 6 and 11 and review DoD datasets for identifying information of KSTs; and identify, prioritize, and record information from DoD datasets as specified by the Government. Produce analytic reports using DIA's Watchlisting Data Organizer (WATCHDOG) and/or other internal DIA production tools. Prepare reports for dissemination by methods specified by the Government.
- Track, manage, and onboard all new hires through detailed training course and maintain training requirements, records, class schedules in accordance with DIA regulations, procedures, and protocols.
- Triage and prioritize serialized message traffic, as specified by the government, for use by production team.
- Request and obtain DoD biometrics files for inclusion in TIN production, in accordance with an established data transmission process.
- Correct and resubmit incorrect reports and prepare reports, including IIR Evaluations, for dissemination as record message traffic or other dissemination methods as specified by government.
- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, intelligence exchanges, round tables, working groups, and other types of analytic exchanges in support of DIA's Watchlisting missions.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of terrorist organizations, to include group names and geographic locations, leadership, activities and ideology.
- Support Watchlisting Reviewers and Production Teams to edit/ review TINs for accuracy, validity, comprehensibility, completeness, and containment of proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and classification, in compliance with national Watchlisting guidance
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
Desired education:
- Master's Degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education: or have a bachelor's degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related Senior experience for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the master's degree.
Security Clearance:
- Security clearance required TS/SCI with CI POLY or the ability to obtain CI POLY.
