Responsibilities
As a Database Analyst/Programmer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Contribute your expertise to fulfilling CBP's strategic goals by enabling medical personnel to access comprehensive patient insights and analytics.
- Assessing, Analyzing, and designing an AWS-based eHR database to ensure data availability, scalability, and security.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and federal privacy standards for secure health data exchange.
- Develop data aggregation and dashboards using AWS tools to support real-time clinical decision-making.
- Enable medical personnel access to comprehensive patient insights and analytics.Document database requirements for seamless data exchange across CBP and DHS systems.
- Support continuity of care and secure data transfer between agencies and facilities.
- Participate in requirements and solution analysis to align database functions with eHR needs.
- Address gaps in teleconsulting, offline synchronization, and other future eHR functionalities.
- Conduct lifecycle cost assessments and risk analysis for database solutions.
- Ensure alignment with CBP's strategic goals and AWS compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.11-12 years demonstrated experience in database management, healthcare data systems, and cloud solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, AWS databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, DynamoDB), and data visualization.
- Experience with federal healthcare security standards, including HIPAA, NIST, and FedRAMP.
