Responsibilities
As an Aerospace Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Perform aerospace engineering in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
- Support the design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots.
- Develop, integrate, and validate models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors.
- Support lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems.
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hiring. US Citizenship required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- 1-2 years' professional experience related to Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with MATLAB and MATLAB scripting.
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process.
