Responsibilities
As a Modeling & Simulations Technician with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Serve as a software application manager in accordance with DTOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Provide annual usage metrics on M&S software applications with recommendations on quantities requirement to meet operational needs.
- Assist in developing and executing test plans related to STE interoperability with connected training devices and collaborate with TSSC as required.
- Be knowledgeable in the use of DIS troubleshooting tools (e.g.: Wireshark and DIS PDU Analyzer (DPA).
- Providing basic level M&S training to all DTOC personnel on annual basis.
- Represent DTOC and ANG DMO standards at standard working groups identified by the government.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and two (2) to four (4) years of experience. A combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree.
- Functional knowledge of distributed simulation (DIS) and High-Level Architecture (HLA).
- Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting DIS/HLA packets using Wireshark, DPA, or similar software tools
- Expert knowledge on use of stimulation software such as NGTS, MACE, VRSG, etc
- Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
