Responsibilities
As a SCARS Systems Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Will attend and represent all DTOC capabilities at monthly E-SECBs.
- Collaborate with ANG locations and SCARS installation team during OPE installations.
- Support SCARS site certification process.
- Collaborate with HAF SCARS team and SCARS Prime contractor.
- Provide/recommend solutions to ANG OTS contractor IT team and government HAF OTTI Mission Network Program Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
- SECRET clearance
- 4 or more years engineering background, preferred combination of network and system administration
- Must have and maintain Security + Certification
- Knowledge of networking, operations, and associated peripheral equipment: LANs, WANs, remote access systems, routers, bridges, copper and fiber cabling, and firewalls
- Experience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfalls
- Experience understanding the connection and operation of distributed sites and simulator systems for the purpose of conducting LVC-OT events
- Experience working in a DoD environment.
- Skills in communication, public speaking, and providing constructive feedback on SCARS standards
- Must be able to apply SCARS standards/SCARS hardware to DTOC environment and speak intelligently with both communities.
