Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

As a Systems Administrator with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Installation, support, and maintenance of DTOC mission network servers, computer equipment and connection of peripherals.
• Configure software, modify software configuration, and perform basic configuration management IAW with all STIGs and other Cybersecurity requirements to include JSIG.
• Plan for and respond to service outages and other problems.
• Work as part of project team in design and integration of OTTI technologies and DTOC solutions to meet mission requirements.
• Provide software application assistance for commonly used office automation applications and M&S tools.
• Support HBSS And SIEM solutions and continuous monitoring.
• Implement client workstations software patches, security fixes and service releases.
• Identify, analyze, and document long range requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and five (5) to seven (7) years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
• SECRET clearance
• Must maintain a Security + certification
• Certifiable knowledge of PC operations in Linux and Windows NT based operating systems
• Experience configuring software, modifying software configuration and performing basic configuration management IAW with all STIGs and other Cybersecurity requirements
• Experience with operating systems and relational database management systems such as SQL Server
• Experience managing Storage Arrays, file and Virtual Machine backups
• Experience updating and patching Windows and Linux Operating Systems and software applications in an off-line environment.
• Experience building and updating Virtual Desktop Interface technologies, VMware, MS Windows and Linux, physical computers, virtual machines and working LAN experience
• Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting DIS/HLA packets using Wireshark, DPA, or similar software tools
• Minimum three (3) years of employment experience of computer/networking related work within the past three (5) years
• A minimum of two must have 2 years or more of Linux administrator experience, and/or Certified Linux admin training
• DISA ACAS Training/Certified
• A minimum of two must have general working knowledge of Citrix and Powershell and Scripting

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $78,100.00/Yr. - USD $164,300.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
