Responsibilities
As a AFNORTH LNO with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Provide AFNORTH specific OTI advisory support and technical oversight to Alaska Air Defense Sector (AADS) and Hawaii Region Air Operations Center (HIRAOC) in the planning and execution of homeland defense training events using the full spectrum of LVC tools, networks, and processes. This encompasses event planning and technical support in execution of LVC system modernization and tech refresh goals.
- Support AFNORTH training requirements and priorities via LVC/M&S technologies including preparation of exercise network architectures, and implementation of IA policy and RMF accreditation processes.
- Analyze and assess gaps in LVC technology, including DIS compliant environment generators such as Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Training (ASCOT), voice simulators, data link systems and related network components
- Assist in coordination and implementation of technology upgrades.
- Configure network architectures to support recurring training events and related events such as Joint Deployable Integrated Air and Missile Defense
- Coordinate scheduling activities to ensure maximum utilization of LVC networks and systems
- Provide technical documentation of system changes, modifications, and upgrades to key LVC
- constructive and virtual simulators including ASCOT, Multi-Aircraft Simulator (MACS) and Air Warfare Simulator (AWSIM)
- Conduct IA activities to ensure system hardening IAW DoD IA policy
- Responsible for obtaining ATO for ADS training environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
Secret Clearance - Minimum five (5) years' experience conducting training in a Distributed Mission Environment
- Minimum five (5) years' experience with technical support to include networks, IA, and RMF processes
- Maintain Security + certification
- DISA/ACAS training/certified
