Responsibilities
As an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter I with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Provide insight to the ins and outs of drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines!
- Work on United States Nuclear Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects.
- Conduct ship checks on Los Angeles Class, SEAWOLF Class, VIRGINIA Class and OHIO Class (SSBN/SSGN) submarines.
- Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System.
- Develop 2D shipboard interconnect Cabling Diagrams in accordance with Military Specifications.
- Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Lists of Material (LOM).
- Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Egineering or Electronic Engineering Technology
- Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines
- Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
- Able to climb vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
6 months to One (1) years business experience in:
- Creating 2D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting software application
- Autodesk AutoCAD® desired but not required
- Adobe PDF tools
