The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) seeks a System Administrator to join our Mission Systems Operations team in Herndon, VA. Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area which design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.

Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, VMs, networks, and data storage solutions.
Lead and mentor the IT systems team, assigning tasks, ensuring adherence to best practices, and fostering professional development.
Provide advanced technical support and guidance for system-related issues, ensuring high performance, security, and availability of IT systems.
Coordinate and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, network improvements, and integration of new technologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, ensuring that all IT systems comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A current Full Scope intelligence Poly (FSP).
System Administration experience of Linux/Unix or Windows platforms.
5+ years’ experience in troubleshooting complex network problems.
5+ years’ experience in communicating with customer representatives in a variety of forums, in both written and spoken form, regarding technical subjects.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Extensive experience with both RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows servers, including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to manage, optimize, and secure server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
Familiar with advanced features such as virtualization, automation, and patch management across both platforms, and capable of integrating these systems into a cohesive IT infrastructure to support organizational needs
Extensive experience in following Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) standards, including the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), to ensure IT devices are properly configured and secured.
Skilled in hardening systems across various platforms by applying STIGs to mitigate vulnerabilities and comply with military and federal cybersecurity requirements.

Lead (level 4): $116,450 - $157,550
Lead (level 5): $139,400 - $188,600
