ASRC Federal is seeking a Usability Manager to work on-site in anticipation of upcoming work in Tacoma, WA .
The Usability Manager shall perform the following:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, project sponsors, and team members. Should be able to articulate program objectives, progress, and risks in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project.
- Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned Mobile developers working on a specific project.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of projects, including in the design phase of a project.
- Work with customers and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
- Participate in the development of software user manuals.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience as a Usability Manager, and have a full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency.
- Hold a current professional UX Certification
- Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust. Must successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
- Proficient in usability research methods such as user testing, surveys, card sorting, and heuristic evaluation.
- Have a deep understanding of the usability principles and best practices, and be able to apply this knowledge to improve the usability of digital products.
- Experience with UX design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and InVisionMiro and Otter.ai.
- Able to create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Able to identify and solve complex usability problems quickly and effectively.
- Able to apply creative problem-solving techniques to design user-friendly interfaces.
- Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and other Accessibility Standards.
- Able to design products that are accessible to users with disabilities.
- Possess strong leadership skills and be able to mentor and guide junior usability experts.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to communicate complex usability concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and be able to lead project planning, estimation, and tracking efforts.
