Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 / year

We are currently seeking to hire a Human Resources (HR) Manager for our populated Joint Venture - Southwest Range Services (SRS) - at White Sands Missile Range, NM to be responsible for all functions within SRS's HR department.

As a joint venture (JV) formed specifically to support the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) mission, SRS is a stand-alone company drawing on the assets, resources and experience of established industry leaders SA-TECH, Amentum and EWA Warrior Services, offering the proven agility and flexibility required to rapidly respond to customer objectives and requirements - wholly unencumbered by corporate bureaucracies. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for all functions within the HR department. This includes (but is not limited to):
  • Managing, tracking and maintaining company benefits and workers' compensation programs.
  • Managing employee disciplinary processes.
  • Maintaining and developing job descriptions.
  • Managing and developing our recruitment program.
  • Tracking employee licenses and certifications.
  • Developing, administering and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that formalize HR standards to ensure that the Company is in compliance with labor laws, regulations and industry standards.
Additional duties include:
  • Serving as neutral party for employee complaints and grievances.
  • Coordinating inter-department work activities.
  • Ensuring staff completes duties and responsibilities accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Planning job fair events, including coordinating and scheduling.
  • Administering benefits and open enrollment periods.
  • Administering employee performance improvement plans (PIPs), Union grievance processes, and the Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing policy and procedures.
  • Administering the Company 401k retirement plan, including enrollment, contributions, matching, loans and required audits.
  • Serving as a member of the 401k Investment Committee.
  • Developing and administering the affirmative action plan (AAP), including reports and logs conforming to EEO regulations.
  • Overseeing employee relations, regulatory compliance, and administering employee-related services, training programs and development opportunities.
  • Generating and disseminating HR reports as required.
  • Other tasks as needed.
Work Conditions:

Work will be performed in an office environment and will require sitting, standing, reaching, while working on a desktop or laptop computer, making phone calls and interacting with Management, staff, employees and vendors on a daily and constant basis.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (equivalent years of experience may be substituted).
  • Five (5) years or more experience managing a busy Human Resources department gained through increasingly responsible positions within the field.
  • Demonstrable experience with employment, compensation, organizational planning, and employee relations.
  • Working knowledge with applications within the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills with an emphasis on writing, communication, decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing Human Resources for medium- or large-based companies.
  • Experience in federal government contracting.
  • Experience managing a Union workforce is highly preferred.
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification.
