Provide hardware, operating system and system administration support for the highly available enterprise services offered by the Government. Skills include software scripting, software installation, provisioning, and configuration. Assist in the design and implementation of hardware and systems. Troubleshoot, repair, configure, monitor, test, and support deployed and campus-based datacenters. Provide programming scripts for system testing, monitoring, and repair. Ensure operating system/applications are patched and the security status is compliant.

The salary range for this role is $81,000 - $163,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. Critical Skills:
1. Building, managing, and maintaining Linux/RHEL environments:
- Provisioning RHEL8 using multiple methods (kickstart, ISO, openstack, AWS, etc.)
- Patching and managing packages using yum/dnf
- Partitioning/managing storage volumes (locally and in cloud environments)
- Managing local firewalls, anti-malware, and related security layers
- Managing and troubleshooting app services and network issues
2. Writing and troubleshooting scripts (all native shell variants)
3. Writing and troubleshooting Python 2/3
4. Use of enterprise tools (Nessus, LatteArt, Biscotti, BigFix, etc.)
5. Familiarity with containerization technology (Docker/Podman) a plus
6. Familiarity with physical service Hardware
7. Familiarity with managing MS Windows (patching, troubleshooting)
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Ten (10) years of Platform Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
- Tech Experience: Linux/RHEL
