Basic Qualifications
Education Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.
Clearance Requirements:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a Mechanical Engineer for Intelligence Systems, you'll be a member a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) with potential for advancement to a lead role (IPT Lead) designing and analyzing unique mechanical systems, working on small technical teams, and coordinating with other IPT Leads and program management to complete assignments. Our program offers opportunity to see your designs through fabrication and installation, often with hands-on participation via prototyping and testing. Work products include structural systems, hardware components and assemblies, mechanical systems, and prototypes supporting both program technology development tasking and customer operations initiatives.

Target salary range: USD $102,314.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

What sets you apart:
- Mechanical engineering background with demonstrated proficiencies in hardware design, modeling, analysis, and testing
- Experience with preparation and presentation of technical briefings to communicate designs, analysis results, technical trades, requirements and specifications, and recommendations to customer technical and management staff
- Flexibility and willingness to work with multi-disciplined teams on a range of tasking, sometimes in new technology areas, outside the ranges of your expertise
- Experience with our current program standards - Inventor, Revit, Ansys - is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and ability to prepare and track schedules is a plus
- Hands-on fabrication experience and interest/ability to create physical proof-of-concept prototypes in a shop/highbay environment makes you a great match
- Minimum Secret-level clearance transferrable at time of hire is required, higher level clearance is a plus
