Advanced Systems Engineer - Missile Defense
Help shape the future of missile defense. Join our team to analyze and enhance the Missile Defense System (MDS), assessing trade capability space, architectural performance metrics, and other key system performance factors. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact defense initiatives and provide strategic recommendations to strengthen national and allied security.
What You'll Be Doing
•Provide technical expertise on missile defense systems, including adversary capabilities, systems engineering, and evaluation.
•Stay up to date on intelligence updates related to new and emerging threat systems.
•Assess the effectiveness of current MDS architectures-ballistic, hypersonic, and cruise missile defense-and recommend improvements or alternative strategies.
•Evaluate allied missile defense systems and explore opportunities for integration with U.S. missile defense architectures.
•Serve as a key resource for consulting on MDS development, facilitating collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, including Services and Combatant Commanders.
•Work with research organizations (FFRDCs, UARCs, and OGAs) to develop technical recommendations and process improvements.
•Support defense architecture evolution strategies by analyzing interim and final results from Analysis of Alternatives and other assessments.
•Assist with feasibility assessments, demonstrations, and tests to validate architecture analysis assumptions.
What You Bring
Required:
•Master's degree in a STEM field and 12+ years of relevant experience
•Active Secret clearance
•Missile Defense experience
•Ability to work independently and provide high-level analysis with minimal guidance
Preferred:
•Knowledge of hypersonic weapons and their capabilities
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a focus on PowerPoint
•Experience working with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) or its member nations
•Background in military or logistics support for THAAD or other Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
•Experience with Early Warning Systems
•Familiarity with MDS Command and Control networks, including C2BMC and LINK 16
•Joint Services or Combatant Command experience
•Space systems expertise

•Travel: 1-2 weeks per year (based on customer requirements)
