Responsibilities

The position is to support a M&S Product Office. The ideal candidate will provide software development and integration guidance supporting development and sustainment of advanced military aircraft. Advise programs on system development, test, configuration management, and quality assurance. They will work directly with the software IPT lead on insuring requirements are met. The candidate will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the successful development, release, and fielding of program software.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Manage the software configuration control processes, ensure that relevant stakeholder requirements are met.
• Evaluate and make recommendations on adjudication of software deficiency reports.
• Provide expert consultation on quality assurance and software safety practices to a government/industry team.
• Provide software development expertise to anomaly investigations and system development IPTs.
• Advise the development of hardware and software functionality and performance specifications.
• Work with government and industry teams to develop test plans and evaluate results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineer major degree,
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with weapon systems,
• Leadership and management skills,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills,
• Strong knowledge of software engineering process, such as software change request, peer reviews, agile development, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), configuration management,
• Ability and willingness to travel as required,
• Familiarity with implementing cybersecurity requirements in software
• Secret Clearance

Desired

• Knowledgeable of software for Air-to-Ground Munitions, or other missile types
• Experience providing technical support to Army Product Offices
• Ability to create briefings and provide Government or industry personnel on the results from test events and simulations
