TRISTAR is seeking a Computer Engineer III for our upcoming government customer in Crane, IN
The Computer Engineer III will Work with program offices and OEM's to sustain SPY-1 multi-mission signal processors (MMSP)
Position Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support in the areas of power supply test set maintenance and development, power supply system/subsystem design, development, reverse engineering, and test development
Provide limited guidance of tasking performed by junior level engineers
Work alongside technicians in the troubleshooting and repair of electronics and electronic sub-assemblies to include power supplies and power sub-systems
Track and monitor obsolescence and DMS issues with MMSP components and sub-systems
Travel to waterfront and OEM installations to observe installation of cabinets and support equipment
Work with OEM and program office to gain a better understanding of test procedures and test sets
Interface with the waterfront personnel, ISEA, and program office
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Requirements
Familiarity with Multi-Mission signal processor strongly preferred but not required
Electrical engineering skills related to troubleshooting, creating and following interconnect diagrams, understanding schematic diagrams
Ability to create and follow test plans and procedures.
Strong communication skills
Presentation development for communicating technical progress and issues
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Must be a US Citizen
An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
Education and Certification:
BS in Computer Engineering
