ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Sensors Engineer to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a hybrid position with 1 - 2 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide sensor engineering expertise to include EO/IR & radar on a wide range of activities and missions supporting fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security and serve in a key sensor engineering role during design reviews to ensure specifications meet specified milestone entrance/exit criteria and government-established top-level requirements
- Support the technical review process and assess performance and work products and participate on a sensors systems engineering analyst on a multi-disciplinary team providing technical advisory and lead system integrator technical oversight to the government division lead
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings to review software development schedules and ensure alignment/integration with planned systems engineering and test activities
- Support the development of critical operational issues, measures of effectiveness, suitability and key performance parameters to ensure solutions meet sensor systems requirements and user needs.
- Identify software, hardware and integration development risks as it relates to sensor systems
- Support system level test objectives development and assess/verify test sensor performance
- Work with Government clients to establish and monitor the program's execution towards milestones, key events, significant accomplishment criteria, and coordinate information between organizations and identify risks, assist in joint impact analyses, and develop mitigation strategies to reduce system development acquisition risks
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years relevant technical experience in sensor development and sustainment to include EO/IR and/or radar.
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements analysis, development and management processes
- Superior customer and stakeholder interface and excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Customs and Border Protection (CBP) experience
- Technical writing experience
- Demonstrated understanding and application of predictive analysis, modeling, and simulation in concept outcome sensitivities and strategic planning
- Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or DHS Level II or III Engineering Certification / Equivalency
- Experience with DHS joint operations, DHS acquisition policy, DHS systems engineering lifecycle
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust prior to starting this position
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and clients, which may involve delivering presentations ad must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
