Field Cable Technician/Installer Jr.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Field Technician/Installer Jr. to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in premises cabling system installations and electronic equipment setup at customer facilities. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to travel extensively within the continental U.S. (CONUS).
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of experience installing CAT5 and CAT6 cabling systems, including RJ45 terminations.
Hands-on experience with electronic equipment installations at customer sites.
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training equivalent to an associate degree or 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Ability to work efficiently under moderate supervision for routine tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address routine issues and make minor work adjustments as needed.
Capable of interpreting and communicating technical information within the project/work area.
Solid understanding of job responsibilities and overall function.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel extensively within the continental U.S. (CONUS) for installations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights, including climbing ladders.
Must be able to work in low-light environments when required.
Ability to follow installation instructions with precision.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background check.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of FAA Air Traffic Facilities.
Prior experience with installations at FAA facilities.
