The Swift Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about cloud technology, customer support, data science and/or machine learning projects. Bring your experience to the team or a desire to learn it! We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in automating and optimizing our software development and deployment pipeline. The ideal candidate will be experienced in scripting, coding, and collaborating with the “end users” from external groups as well as partners across the community. You will create and deploy the environments to further AI research via AWS cloud GPU compute and deploy stand-alone applications. You will also lead efforts to modernize legacy systems into a contemporary architecture format via Terraform. The location of this job is Reston, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps is part of a team that is responsible for deploying and maintaining multiple development environments on AWS infrastructure.
Create, and manage scripts and templates in Github along with documentation to support users.
Assist the ISSE Team with implementing security controls to ensure compliance.
Actively monitor servers and infrastructure for issues creating customized solutions where applicable.
Required Qualifications:

BS Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of relevant experience working in at least one of the following cloud environments (AWS preferred, Google Compute Environment, Azure or others)
Familiarity using terraform and module creation for deployments via IaC
Strong Linux troubleshooting skills
Able to set up build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Experience using a current automation/orchestration tool suite
Strong knowledge of git and version controlling in Github or GitLab
US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with AWS Commercial Cloud Enterprise services.
Experience with working with multiple teams
Experience working in an Agile work environment
AWS Certifications are a plus, but not necessary! We will help you achieve them if interested.
