We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to support our USAF contract on Robbins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The Cloud Engineer supports the 402d SWEG's mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the remote piloted MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base.

This position offers a $5,000 Sign-On/Referral Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy secure cloud-based architectures tailored to mission requirements.
• Implement and optimize Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions.
• Provide expert-level technical support for cloud services, application integration, and upgrades.
• Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security standards, including access controls, encryption, and monitoring protocols.
• Implement best practices for load balancing, data transfer, and resource scaling in dynamic operational environments.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with mission objectives.
• Document processes, configurations, and solutions for operational continuity and future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Data Science or Computer Science with 2 years of experience
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud architectural design, implementation, connectivity, and transition
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), data transfer, load balancing, and access controls
• Experience in troubleshooting issues with cloud computing environments/platforms, providing necessary cloud services, integrating new applications, standup of new enclaves/environments, upgrading/optimizing cloud systems/environments, instantiation/configuration of data-diodes
• Experience must include one or more of the following:
• Amazon Web Services
• Microsoft Azure
• Cloud 1
• Platform 1
• Certification Requirements:
• To Start: Required to have AWS Cloud Practitioner (or Equivalent)
• Security+CE is required and must be obtained within 120 days of starting
• Ability to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.

Schedule

• Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
• You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
• A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
