We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Systems Engineer to support our technology-focused sales team. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team during pre-sales activities, including customer meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations.
- Solution Design: Analyze customer requirements and design tailored solutions that address their challenges, ensuring compatibility with our product offerings and services.
- Client Engagement: Partner with clients to understand their technical environments, workflows, and goals, providing recommendations that maximize value.
- Proposal Support: Develop detailed technical proposals, diagrams, and documentation to accompany sales bids, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the product, engineering, and marketing teams to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies, features, and industry trends.
- Training & Enablement: Conduct training sessions for sales team members to enhance their understanding of technical solutions and capabilities.
- Problem Solving: Address technical inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders, troubleshooting issues to ensure a seamless sales process.
- Demonstrations & Proof of Concept (POC): Lead technical demonstrations and POCs to showcase the value of proposed solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a systems engineering, pre-sales engineering, or similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of more than one of the following: cloud platforms, networking, cyber security, enterprise software, tactical/ISR video, automation.
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with sales processes and CRM tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience working with government or enterprise clients.
- Hands-on experience with scripting or automation tools.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong experience in managing and configuring Windows Server and Linux environments.
