Human Resources Coordinator - Talent Acquisition

  • The Human Resources Coordinator will primarily support the Talent Acquisition team by providing a variety of administrative and technical support, including coordination responsibilities for the relocation program, campus and conference recruiting program, employee referral program, and managing recruiting advertisements. This position will also work closely with our other HR Assistants in our other offices as a team member and backup to the HR Assistants in those sites. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide administrative support for the campus and conference recruitment program, including onsite logistical tasks in our Santa Monica office to coordinate recruitment events.
  • Under supervision, serve as the Relocation Coordinator and assist with the administration of the relocation program for new employees and employee transfers. Interface with new employees and employee transfers to provide a positive candidate experience and respond to relocation questions. Work with outside vendors to schedule household goods moves and temporary housing.
  • Assist in the Employee Referral Program. Track and process payments.
  • Manage recruiting advertisements which entails posting positions, maintaining account inventory, processing invoices, reporting, and tracking costs and vendor contract details.
  • Assist in the employment visa process and coordinate time sensitive visa materials and check requests.
  • Assist with a variety of Talent Acquisition related projects in the area of recruiting outreach activities.
  • Additional responsibilities: travel arrangements, preparing/reconciling expense reports; preparing/proofreading presentation materials, policy and compliance documents and other materials as needed, and other administrative support as requested.


Qualifications
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required; familiarity with or interest in developing competency in Workday HR is required.
  • Interest in continuing to develop knowledge and skills in the area of Human Resources is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships, to develop congenial rapport with RAND staff and external applicants, and to deliver a high level of service to customers are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, exhibit a commitment to follow-through on tasks to completion, and to take initiative to identify/resolve issues.
  • A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks within specific time frames; the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced work environment, good judgment skills and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times are required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail along with excellent proofreading skills and the ability to initiate and draft correspondence are required.


Education Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma is required; bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; HR certification(s) are a plus.


Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience required; additional experience is desired. HR or recruiting experience is preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Location
  • Santa Monica, CA. This position requires working at the office 2-3 days per week (Wednesday office attendance required) and will occasionally require an office presence on other specific days to support event coordination.


Salary Range: $57,400 - $85,500

RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.This position is overtime eligible. Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience.
