Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks an enthusiastic and highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our diverse team as a Command Data Analyst in Colorado Springs, Colorado, supporting HQ STARCOM's Strategic Analysis and Assessments office. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a talented team dedicated to delivering data-driven insights and advancing HQ STARCOM's mission.

We are seeking a candidate with proven expertise in operations assessments and lessons learned, as well as a strong background in experiment design, operations research, data science, modeling and simulation, and data collection and analysis. The ideal candidate will excel in developing assessment planning and reporting strategies, leading stakeholder engagement efforts in assessment and lessons learned processes, and identifying continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role involves providing staff-level support by preparing task responses, conducting document reviews, and contributing to strategic initiatives at HQ STARCOM.

Skills / Experience Required

* Command Data Analyst SME must have 15+ years of practical expertise and relevant DoD experience
* Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible, SAP Accessible
* Versed in Joint Publication 5.0, Joint Planning, Chapter 6, Operation Assessment
* Experience initiating, developing, and managing operation assessments and lessons learned processes for complex programs
* Ability to design and analyze data experiments to help senior leadership track mission progress and enhance decision-making
* Proficient with client consultation to define needs, supervise studies, and analyze data to recommend solutions
* Conducts operational research, integrates models/simulations to produce decision-quality data and root cause analysis
* Proven exceptional organizational and presentation skills for effective senior leadership communication
* Prepares professional reports/presentations by summarizing complex information clearly
* Expert in areas such as statistics and Experimental Design, Database Management, or Big Data Analytics
* Provides technical system integration support across Air, Space, and Cyberspace Domains
* Establishes partnerships/relationships at all leadership levels
* Leads recurring meetings to establish requirements and follow up on action items for mission accomplishment
* Manages technical and programmatic risk, requirements, and oversight of STARCOM program cost, schedule, and performance
* Proficient in Physical Security and Risk Management/Safeguarding Classified Information
* Works autonomously, interfaces seamlessly with team members and senior leadership, and fosters collaborative teamwork

Education / Certifications

* Command Data Analyst SME must have a Master of Arts (MA), Science (MS), or Engineering (ME) degree in a related field
* Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen.
