Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is looking for a Senior Information Technology Program Manager who will provide hands-on leadership for a government contract, overseeing the successful execution of IT tasks while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and customer objectives.
The Program Manager will directly be engaging stakeholders, managing program scope, schedule, budget, and performance, and driving technical and operational efficiencies, lead and mentor teams, resolve challenges, and implement best practices to optimize performance.
You must be a proactive, solution-oriented leader with a strong background in IT project execution, government contracting, and stakeholder management.
Skills / Experience Required
* Senior Information Technology (IT) Program Manager must hold a current Active Secret clearance
* 10+ years of IT program/project management experience, with at least 5 years managing IT service delivery in a federal/government contracting environment
* Sr IT Program Manager responsibilities:
* Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded, and staff performance aligns with contract requirements
* Manage and coordinate urgent and complex support issues, identifying root causes and communicating them effectively to customers
* Oversee staff activities, develop training materials for support staff, and manage employee work schedules
* Ensure the quality of all personnel and services provided under the contract, including compliance with performance standards and budget constraints
* Implement a system to address customer complaints and corrective action requests
* Work closely with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) to plan and deliver services effectively
* Provide performance-related information and updates to the TPOC
* Attend all formal project reviews and periodic progress meetings scheduled by the Contracting Officer and/or TPOC
* Notify the TPOC of any service delivery delays, problems, or issues
* Ensure all work impacting the Enterprise is coordinated through the Change Management Control Board and follows Redstone Arsenal policy
* Oversee the quality and timely performance of daily systems operations and maintenance of the Mission Support Desk
* Monitor and maintain acceptable call wait times within contract limits
* Provide written recommendations for IT policy improvements as requested by the TPOC
* Develop a deployment plan, including necessary software/hardware tools and methods for efficient deployment
* Monitor and report performance metrics against established Performance Requirements Summary (PRS) and Quality Control Plan (QCP) standards for customer ticket management and resolution
* Ensure effective deployment of computer hardware resources in alignment with TPOC guidelines
* Oversee execution of the approved deployment plan, ensuring full functionality of deployed computer hardware resources
Education / Certifications
Required for the Sr IT Program Manager role:
* Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering
* Bachelor's degree in one of these fields may be substituted with an additional ten years of relevant experience managing IT programs within the federal sector
* Project Management Professional (PMP)
