Mission Support Planner, SOCOM J7, Tampa Florida
• Provide administrative support including:
◦ Manage calendars, including organize and plan daily schedules
◦ Setup team meetings, schedule conference rooms and prep sessions when necessary
◦ Attend meetings to take comprehensive notes or to present information
◦ Print documents / read-aheads, including prepare and compile presentation slides
◦ Review E-mails for priority information and meeting requests
◦ Troubleshoot schedules as needed
◦ Stay updated on priorities on a daily basis
◦ Coordinate travel and create itineraries
• Prepare briefs, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access)
• Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
• Perform logistics planning actions that involve evaluating, coordinating, and addressing logistical requirements to support the USSOCOM Wargaming, Warfighter Talks, and Capabilities development efforts
• Function independently in a fast paced, high-energy environment with minimal supervision
• Support team members with equipment and supply needs, and assist with other department specific projects
• Synthesize complex data into comprehensible graphics via PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, and other graphics software
Required:
• Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
• 3 years of strategic/operational level experience (military, contract or civilian) working with DoD Services, Combatant Commands, supporting strategic engagements programs (e.g., wargames, experimentation, Warfighter Talks, Service staff-level conferences and events)
• 3 years’ experience in planning for large-scale (>30 individual) events on behalf of senior leadership, to include: conducting research and presenting recommendations on various venues, scheduling and leading site surveys, and presenting site survey results to the Government
• 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag-level command staff
• 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office products, social media platforms and web-based programs (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and other graphics software)
