Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Test Manager to lead our software testing team and oversee all aspects of our test lab operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet our customers' needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for various software applications and systems. Define testing methodologies, processes, and best practices to be followed by the team.
• Test Lab Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the test lab, including managing hardware and software resources, ensuring lab infrastructure is up-to-date and efficiently utilized.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of software testers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development. Assign tasks, track progress, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Test Execution & Reporting: Oversee the execution of various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, security, and usability testing. Analyze test results, identify defects, and generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure timely and effective testing. Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to relevant parties.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
• Experience in managing and maintaining a test lab environment, including hardware and software resources.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Security Clearance Level Required: Must have the ability to obtain a TS with SCI and SAP eligibility.
