Shee Atika Government Services (SGS) is hiring a fully remote Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with administration and implementation of the 32 CFR Part 117, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule for SGS subsidiary companies.
Position Responsibilities
Assist with conducting self-inspections for multiple cleared facilities, ensuring compliance with client, DoD, and CFR/NISPOM guidance.
Perform duties related to Personnel Security, Foreign Travel briefings, and other program briefings. Process Visit Requests as necessary and monitor expiration dates for expirations and extended visits.
Assist in the administration of the Security Awareness Training and Education program.
Coordinate inprocessing activities for staff members with government customers, processing requests for Common Access Cards (CAC), other badges and ensuring visitor records remain current.
Review contract related DD-254s and ensure the proper flow down of security requirements to subcontractors.
The AFSO may be required to perform other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Candidate minimum requirements
Candidate must be a US citizen
Candidate must have Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years of relevant industrial security experience, OR five or more years experience implementing 32CFR security requirements.
Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance with eligibility for a Top Secret. Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
Candidate must have completed FSO program courses focused on Non-Possessing Facilities
Candidate must have 3+ years experience with the following:
Implementing the 32CFR part 117 (NISPOM) security requirements
Knowledge and user experience with government security systems associated with industrial security including DISS, NISS, SWFT, e-app, NBIS.
Desired/Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrate excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to communicate and explain government regulations and requirements to staff members.
Ability to write standard reports and correspondence.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work with and support our team.
Ability to follow, interpret and explain established processes.
Demonstrate professional customer service skills.
Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to established goals.
Have a high degree of self-motivation, ability to work independently, and multi-task.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SGS.
