Description
Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to lead the modernization of USDA’s Data Analytics Platform and the interface for storing, sharing, analyzing, and visualizing USDA Departmental data. The Solutions Architect must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and stakeholders, as USDA has several internal customers (Mission Areas). The candidate must demonstrate breadth and depth in advanced data analytics, data governance, enterprise data management, and data management tools.

Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

Leidos is searching for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to lead the modernization of USDA’s Data Analytics Platform and the interface for storing, sharing, analyzing, and visualizing USDA Departmental data. The Solutions Architect must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and stakeholders, as USDA has several internal customers (Mission Areas). The candidate must demonstrate breadth and depth in advanced data analytics, data governance, enterprise data management, and data management tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support USDA’s Data Strategy by developing cost-effective enterprise data analytics solutions
- Collaborate with USDA Chief Data Officer (CDO) and Assistant Chief Data Officers (ACDOs) to support Mission Area-specific data and analytics modernization
- Implement and enhance enterprise data governance
- Identify and Develop innovative Data Management toolset solutions for the USDA customers
- Utilize Artificial Intelligence and Cross-Government data in Data Management Solutions
- Ensure solutions meet performance, data privacy and security including zero trust across the analytics portfolio, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Act as the senior most technical resource on the program
- Manage and identify technical risks and opportunities, resolution and verification of effectiveness of corrective actions
- Support technical proposal response as needed
- Engage and build relationships with senior USDA technical resources

Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- BA/BS degree in related field with 12+ years of relevant experience
- 8 + years of experience serving as a Data Scientist or Data Architect
- Experience designing, building, managing a government Enterprise Data Lake
- Extensive knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance
- Cloud Data Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- USDA EDAPT experience
- USDA ODP experience
- USDA customer experience
- Master's Degree in related field
