Sayres, a leader in defense support services to the DoD, is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with a Secret Clearance in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst will apply expert knowledge of Navy accounting, finance, budgeting, execution and reporting, and data information systems that will provide financial management support in one or more of the following areas: Budget Execution, Budget Development and Defense, and Accounting Reconciliation. The responsibilities assigned to this position include but are not limited to:
  • Prepare funding execution documents and track to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy Systems.
  • Maintain financial status and history records, reports, and assessments to identify program financial resources, shortfalls, obligations, and expenditure data.
  • Assist in developing and defending budget resource requirements.
  • Apply senior expertise to the QA process of documentation delivered to customers.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of financial transactions in STARS, ERP and Paying Office records and recommend corrective actions.
  • Apply expert knowledge during the annual Mid-Year Execution Reviews.
  • Conduct research and provide analysis to identify accounting system errors.
  • Support the management and coordination of ERP sustainment-related professional effort.
  • Oversee the preparation of funding execution documents and tracking to ensure acceptance and accurate recording in Navy financial systems.
  • Perform the research necessary to review, prepare, and track TPS program requirements and development of phasing, allocation, and spend plans.
  • Lead and direct efforts in ERP WBS/Project Structure (WBS) budget structures and maintenance, cost planning, execution, and reporting while applying expertise and support for evolving ERP implementation.
  • Provide financial inputs to the PM/BFM reports and senior level briefings.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial data calls as required.
  • Prepare briefing slides and supporting documentation.
  • Report on closing appropriations and assist in mitigating unliquidated balances for these accounts.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience OR high school diploma or equivalent AND 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active Secret security clearance verifiable in DISS.
