SENIOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
National Radar Test Facility, White Sands Missile Range, NM

CLASSIFICATION: Senior Network Administrator; Salary
GRADE: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Supervisor
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties include some SQL database maintenance (New accounts, backups, DB creation) daily checks of server event logs, maintenance and management of the virtual environment and servers. Ensure desktops and servers are patched to the latest required standards, provide technical support to staff for computer and network issues. Will also assist in the daily management of users and resources, perform anti-virus management for network systems, perform routine testing for patch and system configuration changes, implement and maintain cyber security requirements. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential in areas to include managing desktops, workstations, servers, printers, switches, etc. Provide assistance to users including help with network connections and passwords. Execute policies and standards, as they relate to IT systems and network security and protocols. Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with little supervision.
GENERAL DUTIES: The incumbent will perform daily administration of the network servers and critical network systems. Will be required to assist in the design, implementation, sustainment and management of multiple Active Directory domains.

OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires some formal network training with 4 or more years of experience in network/systems administration. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures, including all areas and phases of installation, set-up, configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and any other specified tools. Experience with Active Directory is preferred. MS SQL and virtual machine experience desired. Demonstrated experience and/or working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2019, Server 2016, MS SQL, Microsoft Operating Systems including DOS, Windows 7, 10 & 11. Must be able to perform server rebuilds as well as research and implement new systems. Requires the ability to read and interpret written information and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to work on-site, not an at home position. DoD Information Assurance experience a plus, CompTIA Security+ or higher certification a must.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will be subject to substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and requires standing, sitting, bending, and must be able to lift 30 pounds. Must be able to sit at a workstation and operate a computer for long periods of time.
