Human Resources Specialist L2
Position Overview: This role's primary responsibility is to provide military and government civilian support. The ideal candidate will have a background in Air Force military and civilian personnel management systems and experience developing, delivering, managing, and maintaining Human Resources information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, deliver, maintain, advise, and adapt basic concepts, principles, and theories of civilian personnel to meet the unique organizational, management, and mission requirements of military departments and organizations.
• Manage the civilian personnel system, focusing on recruitment & placement, human resource development, and performance management.
• Support professional and career development training programs, ensuring personnel training history records are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide personnel recommendations to senior leadership to ensure mission success.
• Conduct analytical reviews of personnel strengths and identify potential trends impacting organizational sustainment.
Required Qualifications:
• Security Clearance: Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
• Experience:
o 5+ years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
o 2+ years of experience in SAP/SCI environments, with work in this environment within the last five years.
• Technical Proficiency:
Must have experience with DoD personnel systems such as MILPDS, MyFSS, DTS, BLSDM, AFPASS, MPICAM, and LeaveWeb, including Awards and Decorations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and HR-related systems.
Preferred Skills:
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in a Human Resource Generalist role.
• Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to take preventive measures.
• Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal communication skills to articulate concepts, plans, and personnel guidance.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a small team environment.
Additional Requirements:
• Must consent to and complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Arts (BA) or Science (BS). Equivalent work experience may be considered instead of formal education.
