Senior Principal Systems Engineer - LINUX

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Linux to join a federal program located in Washington, DC. The Senior Principal Systems Engineer will d esign, deploy, integrate and maintain Linux technologies into a primary Windows Infrastructure across multiple classification levels will help our clients overcome evolving demands and missions.

Responsibilities of the Senior Principal Systems Engineer:

• Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling (e.g., ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, Backup systems, etc.)
• Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensuring that initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls (e.g., proper agents installed, proper configs, etc.)
• Integrate Linux Systems (currently, RHEL 7/8 and Ubuntu systems) into a primary Windows environment (workstations & servers) where authentication, authorization, and accounting actives are controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On
• Ensure that already-provisioned Linux systems are kept in compliance with baseline requirements & ever-changing enterprise policy (e.g., equivalent to Group Policy in the Windows realm for ongoing compliance updates)
• Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other recommended security standards.

Qualifications of the Senior Principal Systems Engineer:

• 17+ Years of experience
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• IAT Level II Certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field
• VMWare management/administration experience

Compensation for the Senior Principal Systems Engineer:

• Salary Range: $150,000-$195,000 *flexible based on experience*
