Job Description
BAE Systems, Electronic Systems is currently recruiting for a Director, Supply Chain Planning in support of our Electronic Combat Solutions business area. This position will oversee Supply Chain Planning operations across multiple program areas with staff in our southern New Hampshire and New Jersey locations. The ECS business area designs and manufactures state-of-the-art full spectrum Electronic Warfare capabilities for both defense and attack applications across a variety of platforms.

The Director of Planning will lead the planning teams of the Business Area. Accountable for the management of a staff of ~120 employees, supporting ~$600M in material revenues annually, the role reports to the Electronics Combat Solutions Sr. Director of Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of supply and demand planning processes, a strong level of business acumen, and experience leading a team of supply chain professionals in a growth environment. The Director will be responsible for leading demand and supply planning and elements of production control within a complex Aerospace and Defense manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be expected to develop progressive supply chain approaches, to support the growth of the business, and to meet or exceed business area and functional goals and objectives. This senior position collaborates regularly with other internal senior leaders from procurement, manufacturing operations, program management and quality.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Developing and executing integrated demand and supply planning strategies to align with business area objectives and enhance operational resilience.
  • Collaborating with procurement, program management, finance, manufacturing, and logistics to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Partnering with procurement and subcontracts to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Overseeing production scheduling and capacity planning to optimize factory performance, improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance agility.
  • Support system and technology enhancements at the sector level to support cost-reduction initiatives, risk mitigation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Elevating the capabilities of the supply chain team and its interactions with other functions to deliver on operational and financial goals.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of innovation, empowerment, and accountability.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting, S&OP processes, MRP/ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $135556 - $230444

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
