Position Overview

The Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) Program develops potential non-material options for increasing military effectiveness and employs Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) techniques for analyzing and validating proposed joint military solutions. The JT&E Program brings two or more military services together to provide improvements in the joint interoperability of service systems, technical and operational concepts, and system performance; validated testing methodologies; and the validation of models, simulations, and test beds. The JT&E Program finds ways for warfighters to accomplish their missions better with today's equipment, organizations, and doctrine. The JT&E Program achieves this objective by evaluating new concepts and addressing needs and issues in joint military environments.

Essential Job Function

• Provide services that includes Experience with M&S to aid in developing and testing TTPs through Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networks as part of a Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) environment.
• Provide the necessary expertise for early start of JT projects.
• Provide technical consultation and advice.
• Apply the requisite expertise on projects to support the design, development, planning, and implementation of JT&E tests and studies, including areas of test concept, test design, test measures, and analysis techniques.
• Conduct technical reviews for JT project's planning and execution.
• Development of test management and execution documents.
• Create and maintain the Test and Evaluation Program Plan
• Prepare Test Plans (as applicable)
• Produce Technical Reports - Studies
• Complete Document Reviews (i.e., test plans, risk reduction event plans, closedown transition plans, project master plans, quick look reports, and final reports)
• Prepare presentation and briefing materials
• Conduct/support briefings to JT&E governance bodies (i.e. SACs, TABs, PCs, QRT Working Groups, Executive Steering Group, etc.)
• Prepare/Conduct test team training.
• Provide technical services for various review boards, such as the Planning Committee, QRT Working Group, and Technical Advisory Board (TAB).

Minimum Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• US Citizen
• Must be fully qualified systems engineer or operational analyst with modeling and simulation (M&S) background.
• Master's Degree in a technical field (systems, math, computer science, operations research, physics, engineering, computer programming, or technical related field with Operations Research certification).

Or

• A Master's Degree in a non-technical field may be substituted with 10 years of test and evaluation experience.
