Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall utilize security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall assist, collaborate, and coordinate with other SIS offices and divisions (SISP, SISO, SISI, SISX, SISG, etc.).
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall develop solutions and convey to internal and external customers.
- Provide security guidance to contractors using DoD and IC regulations and requirements - analyze complex data and make appropriate program recommendations.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall monitor security applications through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics and maintain required records.
- Prepare and disseminate security procedures/guidance. Investigate and prepare impact statements and provide recommendations on security/security violations.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall provide guidance as required in implementing security requirements.
- Manage project milestones.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) will interpret security policy on matters pertaining to process, dissemination, and controlling of classified
- Receive, control and safeguard SCI and collateral information.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) acts as the liaison between NGA and other federal agencies and contractors.
- Prepare both SCI and collateral materials for shipment to other agencies/sites IAW applicable security handling procedures.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall prepare outgoing classified messages on employees/contractor visiting other government facilities.

- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall brief, process, and schedule external requests for polygraphs, clearances, debriefs, and background investigations.
- Provide telephone and written status checks, including checks of internal and external personnel security databases.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall assist Program Managers (PMs), Contracting Officers (COs), and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to prepare task order security guidance (e.g., DD Form 254) in accordance with the NISPOM, FAR and DFAR requirements.
- Establish emergency and contingency plans to protect NGA assets in heightened levels of threat
- Utilize a variety of security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues. Perform functions as security control officer by verifying need-to-know processing program access requests, maintain applicable access databases, conduct indoctrinations, debriefs, and annual training/revalidation, as needed.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall obtain Access to Special Access Program (SAP), Control Access Program (CAP) and/or Alternate Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) Information as required for the execution of NGA's Sensitive Program Mission (SISG).
- Perform and conduct site security surveys, including compliance of technology equipment supporting SCIFs and collateral areas (e.g., access control, intrusion detection systems, locks, destruction devices, secure phones, etc.,), prior to SCIF accreditation.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall review and, if required, prepare Fixed Facility Checklist and documentation supporting the accreditation process. Investigate, and provide written impact statements or recommendations when deviations from standards are discovered and the resolution, for all NGA SCIFs and collateral areas both government and contractor CONUS and OCONUS.
- Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) shall provide industrial security guidance to contractors using the NISPOM requirements.
- Provide support to established OPSEC program.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) will ensure compliance with policies (DCID, DoD, and NGA), standards and Executive Orders regarding OPSEC and information security.
- Facilitate the IC Working Groups (OPSEC and Security Monitors).
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) will assist the government SEA team and other SIS Divisions to determine the scope and direction of the Program.
- Prepare SEA briefings and products (e.g., website content and computer-based training).
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) will provide technical security expertise in one or more of the following security disciplines: personnel, physical/industrial, computer investigations, and operations.
- Monitor and manage security programs and provides status reports and recommendations for decisions.
- The Security Specialist IV - Analyst Security Officer (ASO) will provide agency level technical expertise concerning the identified security disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience using IC security repositories (DISS, Scattered Castles, etc.)
- Experience writing security related reports
- Experience providing security briefings/training to non-security personnel on aspects or components of a security program
- Familiar with DoD task order Security Classification Specification (DD 254)
Desired Requirements:
- Experience leading security teams
- Experience tracking projects and milestones
- Experience generating security metrics
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
- Managing SCIF locations in accord with ICD 705 requirements.
- Experience using online communication programs (such as Microsoft Teams)
- Experience in multiple security disciplines
Minimum/General Experience & Education:
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of experience in one or more security fields
