Description

Markon's partner company is seeking a Commercial Support Officer to support an intelligence customer. The CSO provides strategic recommendations to the Project Manager as well as tactical, day-to-day support to the commercial business aspects of the project. The CSO is routinely involved in resource planning, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed. The CSO supports interactions with both domestic and foreign Customer centers, subject matter experts, lawyers, accountants, and support elements, to include training, finance, banking, security, IT, and logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supports the Project Manager and other teammates to develop business plans and strategies designed to maximize business success
  • Performs SWOT analysis on business sectors of interest focusing on:
    • Economics of business opportunities, including customers and product demand
    • Leading market competitors
    • Important market trends, patterns, and relationships
  • Identifies business opportunities and provides solutions to capitalize on the opportunities
  • Facilitates in the identification of the required skills and talent needed to successfully design, start-up, and/or run a business
  • Manages the business structure, operations, and supply chain
  • Prioritizes the identification and reduction of risk and uncertainty
  • Creates and implements contingency plans to ensure continuity of operation
  • Pursues professional training opportunities to ensure skills are current with evolving technology
  • Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of Project Management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • experience supporting project managers in the IC
  • strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills


Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
