Connsci is seeking a Sr. Cyber Compliance Analyst for a potential upcoming project for a government client. This individual will be part of a team tasked with monitoring regulated entities and will be responsible for processing filings, producing reports and assessments, and conducting briefings as well as responding to phone call and/or email inquiries.
Specific duties may include:
• Monitor status of covered entities to detect possible violations in reporting regulations related to
"cyber/technology" events (e.g., reports related to systems security, disruptions, and compliance)
• Receive and process cyber/technology events reported by regulated entities
• Conduct analysis of cyber/technology event reports
• Implement cyber/technology event escalation
• Provide program-level reports related to regulated entity's compliance.
• Foster strong compliance and risk management practices
• Attend meetings with government staff and other external organizations.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure that regulated entities adequately investigate the root-
cause of real or potential anomalies in entity services
• Conduct queries and analysis of cybersecurity threat and risk indicators to assess impact.
• Triage cybersecurity events and incidents to engage appropriate stakeholders
• Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity or regulatory compliance reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+, or Certified Information
Security Manager (CISM)
