Location: Crystal City, VA
Schedule: Day/M-F
Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000-$78,000

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.

The salary ranges for this position will be in the 70,000-78,000 per year range, this will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, Spot bonuses, and program-specific awards. In addition, Syntelligent provides a variety of benefits to all our Full-Time employees.

Syntelligent is seeking a Security Specialist, Operations (Mid) to support upcoming work with a federal client.

Responsibilities:
Duties will include:
- Qualified candidate will be expected to provide general security functions that includes performing activities related to security standard discipline management and support.
- Conduct and assist with security incident inquiries
- Track and provide trend analysis on reported security incidents
- Provide incident matrix to the Director of Security (DS) and Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO)
- Recommend classification determinations prior to inquiry initiation Monitor inquiry progress, provide status updates to the GSSO, and draft appropriate reports before, during, and after inquiry
- Participate in containment and clean-up actions and document results
- Maintain the Security Incident Guide in coordination with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
- Ensure personnel are notified of the initial incident in accordance with (IAW) policy
- Assess and optimize security processes, including automation, for a rapidly growing program to ensure consistent security support, and produce products resulting from this analysis
- Identify program requirements through review and analysis of user needs and produce products resulting from this analysis Identify emerging threats and produce products resulting from this analysis
- Conduct special security studies and produce products resulting from these studies
Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
- A bachelor's degree in a security related discipline along with three (3) years of experience in a security related field OR
- An associate's degree plus seven (7) years of work experience in a security related field OR
- Nine (9) years of work experience in a security related field
- SAP OR Special Access Program experience
