Overview
VTG is seeking a Program Analyst (Metrics/Analytics) for the Navy Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships. Position will be onsite at the Washington Navy Yard.
What will you do?
Candidate will need experience in building visualizations, dashboards and performing data analytics. Preferably having experience using Tableau interactive data software to support the further development of our performance to plan schedule management efforts, providing direct support to the Industrial Assessment Director for the analysis and research.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $65,000-80,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.

- Analytical reasoning skills, with experience in Analytics Platform and Analytics Solutions
- Configuring reports in alignment to Tableau standards, requirements, and best practices
- Experience building and maintaining Tableau visual dashboards
- Experience in information visualization turning data into professionally designed dashboards.
- Building, developing, and maintaining repeatable, accurate, and credible metrics, dashboards, and reports, to better integrate processes.
- Ensuring dashboards and reports are configured correctly and meet the standards set by Tableau.
- Identifying and leveraging Tableau capabilities for specific dataset and use cases, assess data sources to optimize quality and accuracy of reporting output.
- Proficiency in creating analytic pipelines, handling analytical datasets, and using analytical instruments.

- Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance by identifying trends and sources of variation.
- Developing required Tableau content reports and dashboards.
- Design and implement data models to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Be able to understand, identify and effectively communicate risk, opportunities, and challenges.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools and Data Extraction.
- Design, develop, and update operational and performance metrics that measure the status of objectives and their impact.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources.
- Prepare reports and presentations.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in any related field of business
- 3-8 Years experience report building
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one. Must also be a US citizen
- MS Suite - Specifically Power Point, Word, Access, and Excel and SharePoint
- Creative, poised, and flexible supporting TSFO leadership.
- Must have experience with Tableau.
- Experience working on Reporting and Data Analytics design and development through Tableau.
- Knowledge of Ad Hoc Analysis, analysis documentation, analysis planning, and various analysis techniques and tools
- Be a self-starter, and a critical thinker who can work independently or with a team.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization in a professional, effective manner.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using SharePoint for data tracking and analysis is a plus.
