The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates expertise, system analysis and design capabilities from across the corporation. We are looking for an Enterprise Systems Engineer (Senior Engineering Specialist/Engineering Specialist- Enterprise Systems Engineering).

This position will reside in the Aerospace engineering backplane and will be assigned to the Aerospace program office supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The NNSA is responsible for safeguarding national security through the military application of nuclear science.

Work Model

This position is a hybrid Work Model in Albuquerque, NM. Applicant should plan on 3-4 days a week in the office.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Providing technical, planning, and analytical support to the NNSA
  • Developing, fostering and maintaining relationships with NNSA customers to better understand their gaps and challenges
  • Initiating studies designed to solve new technical problems and provide new technical solutions
  • Taking initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action
  • Leading cross-organizational teams
  • Reaching across the Aerospace Engineering Backplane to obtain required expertise


What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Engineering Specialist
  • Current TS clearance with eligibility for SCI
  • 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
  • Degree in science, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems
  • Knowledge of systems-of-systems (SoS) engineering and architecting and model- based system engineering (MBSE)
  • Exhibit high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships


In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Senior Engineering Specialist include :
  • 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
  • Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost, schedule and risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development
