The Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division (ESED) is a component of Corona Division, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). ESED performs full spectrum life cycle engineering and test support to verify the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of Expeditionary Warfare systems. The primary function of ESED is to provide In-Service Engineering and Test and Evaluation for the Department of Defense (DoD). As part of this function, ESED conducts test operations at regional Southern California ranges such as Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake and at multiple DoD ranges across the United States. This task sets forth the requirements for technical services related to testing to include test planning, test execution, test support, test operations and associated logistics. These services are in support of a wide variety of systems across their life cycle, which include ESED's main focus areas such as Arms, Ammunition, Explosives, Weapons Systems, and associated platforms utilized by the Expeditionary Warfare community. ESED's secondary focus areas such as Sensors and Communications, Mobility Platforms, Systems Integration, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment with unique military applications; and other new or existing systems that require independent testing for Expeditionary Warfare.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support to end users: troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with new technology onboarding, and maintaining IT systems on the Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) contract. This position is located in Fallbrook, CA.
This is a full-time (40-hours per week), 12-month contract position with the potential for extension and/or conversion to a permanent full-time position based on funding and performance.

What You'll Do
- Support distributed PC/networking environments including installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers, and other computer peripherals.
- Support responsibilities include, but are not limited to, software installation, and configurations.
- Provide timely and effective technical support by phone, chat, email, or in-person for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, other peripherals and software packages.
- Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software, printers, and other peripherals.
- Load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT support procedures and solutions.
- Accurately and efficiently enter data from various sources (e.g., paper documents, emails, online forms) into relevant database systems.
- Verify and validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in data.
- Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets with accurate information.
- Generate reports and summaries of data entry activities as needed.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Dipoma required.
- At least five (5) years of experience providing IT support to end users.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as in performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area or on-board submarines and in weapon facilities.
- Travel Required ~10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited university is desired.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Power Apps.
