Configuration Manager

Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting agency, seeks a Configuration Manager to support a long-term mission-critical program in Chantilly, VA.

PRIMARY Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
• Assist in the use of configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
• Understand basic concepts, and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures
• Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures
• Understand basic concepts, and assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
• Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
• Utilize configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items
• Maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
• Develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects
• Apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process
• Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) the Change Management Board (CMB)

BASIC Qualifications:

• Top Secret Clearance (must be willing to sit for CI Poly post-hire date)
• Experience working with Continuous integration tools such as GitLab
• Experience designing and managing a CMDB
• Experience working in an AGILE environment
• Experience in managing the development and delivery of multiple overlapping Releases
• Experience managing hardware and software configuration baselines
• Familiarity with Risk and Issue Management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives
• Track record of working effectively within a team, and supporting peers toward improved processes and results
• Must have knowledge of Amazon Web Services EC2 instance (AWS) performance and cost optimization, as well as compliance audits from initial baselines to end-of-life.
• Must hold Security+ certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP along with an appropriate computing environment (CE) certification)

Security Clearance Required: Top Secret
